Preparations for the Upcoming Hospitality Summit in Saudi Arabia

Preparations for the Upcoming Hospitality Summit in Saudi Arabia

The travel community is planning for the Upcoming Hospitality Summit, a virtual hybrid conference created to discuss big ideas and resolve the hospitality industry's challenges.

Tomorrow, live from Riyadh and around the world, the event starts.

The gathering, organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia and the G20 Saudi Secretariat, will be powered by Bench Digital as part of the International Conference Program honoring the Saudi G20 presidency in 2020.

The event, which promises to be one of the hospitality community's most impactful gatherings, will be delivered on the tried-and-tested, cutting-edge, digital event platform of Bench Digital, providing an immersive live experience for all participants, including a virtual exhibition, one-to-one video networking, and integrated chat features.

In partnership with business creators, innovators and advisors, a robust three-pillar programme has been established with a specific emphasis on identifying the current environment, partnering and analyzing opportunities, and innovating to recreate the future.

Marriott International Chief Executive Arne Sorenson; Carnival Corporation Chief Executive Arnold Donald; World Travel & Tourism Council Chief Executive Gloria Guevara; and Anita Mendiratta, a special assistant to the UNWTO Secretary-General, are all featured speakers.

About 100 other respected speakers and thousands of guests will be joining them.

As a country that is at the forefront of the response and recovery plans of the tourism sector through the presidency of the G20, Saudi Arabia is leading the conversation on the future of tourism and will provide an international platform at the Future Hospitality Summit to bring the industry together.

Mahmoud Abdulhadi, Deputy Minister for Investment at the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, said: 'Together we will map the restoration of the tourism and travel sector and strategically plan a sustainable future for stakeholders at all levels.'

In order to facilitate a stronger response for a stronger future, the Future Hospitality Summit aims to gather the global industry for important discussions and create critical links to build relationships, unity and actionable ways to support each other.

Jonathan Worsley, Chairman of Bench Digital, added: "It is vital that hospitality professionals across the globe come together as a community to work towards our industry's recovery during this difficult time."

"Not only will the Future Hospitality Summit provide a powerful platform for virtual networking, showcasing best practice and demonstrating thought leadership, but it will also prove invaluable in ensuring that these unprecedented challenges make the industry stronger as a whole."

Two of the key focus points of the hybrid summit will be empowering tomorrow's employees and attracting talent into the hospitality industry-imperative factors in sustaining the industry.

In order to rapidly evolve and keep pace with the demand generated from the hospitality sector, developing a skilled workforce is paramount. In Saudi Arabia, for instance, by 2030, 253 new hotels will be online.

As a consequence, the Future Hospitality Summit is a forum for engaging with future hospitality workers and promoting the industry as an attractive career path.
