Rocky Mountaineer to start a new trip to the USA

Rocky Mountaineer to start a new trip to the USA

In 2021, Rocky Mountaineer aims to bring its luxury train journeys to a new route in the US Southwest.

With an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, the Rockies to the Red Rocks route will be a two-day rail trip between Denver, Colorado, and Moab, Utah.

In its spacious, glass-domed train coaches, Rocky Mountaineer operates multi-day, daytime train journeys that feature incredible scenery, regional cuisine, and attentive service.

The company has long had the goal of expanding its routes in order to highlight new destinations with its train travel experience.

In addition to the three rail routes operating in Western Canada, this new route will be between Vancouver and the towns of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper in the Canadian Rockies.

To explore the historic rail path between Denver and Moab, the Rocky Mountaineer will bring a new luxury train tour.

"Rocky Mountaineer has become renowned for our world-class train travel experiences over the past 30 years, and now we are opening up our newest train experience in the region where the history of train travel began," said Rocky Mountaineer creator Peter Armstrong.

"This region, with its magnificent scenery, national parks, huge opportunities to explore, will delight millions." From 15 August to 23 October, Rocky Mountaineer will launch the route with a preview season of 40 departures over ten weeks.

Working with local tourism associations, hotels and tour operators, the company curates custom holiday packages featuring tours, events and stays in Denver and Moab, enabling visitors to explore the area even more.
