Seabourn postpones return until 2021

Seabourn postpones return until 2021

Seabourn has called for the 2020 cruise season to cease, stating that its three ships will not return until the beginning of next year.

Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn Encore are all covered by the announcement.

Specifically, Seabourn Odyssey would see its activities cancelled as early as 15 January.

Until April 18th and May 28th next year, Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn Encore will be out of service.

The decision to cancel additional voyages is a constructive move to resolve the circumstances that continue to emerge from the global reaction to the situation of Covid-19, the company said.

Seabourn had earlier hoped to give guests this year at least a small number of departures.

"Compliance, environmental protection and the health, safety and well-being of our guests, crew and people in the destinations we visit are our highest priorities," said Josh Leibowitz, Seabourn President.

"We know that when the time is right and that time is on the horizon, our past guests and travelers are eager to travel, so I would encourage anyone to look at their calendar and start planning a trip today to let the excitement build."

Guests with affected cruises are immediately cancelled and future cruise points are awarded to all guests.

A full refund of the money charged to Seabourn can also be demanded.
